Job summary

CIH International Housing Group in Chichester, West Sussex, is seeking a Housing Manager to lead tenancy, income and resident services for older residents. You will ensure compliant, customer‑focused tenancy management and oversee safeguarding, governance and contractor performance, with a focus on community wellbeing and quality homes. Interview date soon.

The role requires at least 2 years in housing services and a CIH Level 4 or equivalent, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience managing housing services.
• Relevant housing qualification CIH Level 4 or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of tenancy management, housing law, regulatory requirements and consumer standards.
• Experience of managing anti-social behaviour, safeguarding, and resident complaints.
• Ability to produce reports, analyse performance data, and drive service improvements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive tenancy and neighbourhood management service.
• Investigate tenancy breaches, anti-social behaviour (ASB), and neighbour disputes.
• Deliver effective income management with arrears below 1% and support sustainability of tenancies.
• Maintain stock condition surveys and deliver a planned maintenance programme.
• Instruct and manage contractors to ensure safe, high quality, value for money services.
• Provide residents with opportunities to scrutinise and influence service delivery.
• Respond to and resolve complaints within policy guidelines and drive improvements.
• Deliver safeguarding and wellbeing services in collaboration with partners.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare quarterly performance reports for senior management.
