Job summary

Waythrough in the Northwest is seeking a Housing Manager to lead a team delivering high‑quality housing management and tenancy sustainment services across the region. You will oversee day‑to‑day operations to ensure properties are safe, compliant and well‑managed while helping residents sustain their tenancies.

You’ll drive performance against KPIs and Tenant Satisfaction Measures, with regional travel as required.

  • Strong knowledge of tenancy management, arrears, and housing processes.
  • Ability to manage priorities and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team delivering housing and tenancy services.
  • Manage property performance, including voids, arrears, and compliance.
  • Provide guidance on safeguarding, risk, and anti-social behaviour.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Support audits, inspections, and service improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Promote resident engagement and involvement.

Location: Northwest with regional travel when required

Working Hours: 25 hours per week

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: £38,960 - £56,010 FTE (£26,324.32 - £37,844.59 pro rata)

As the Housing Manager, you will lead a team delivering high-quality housing management and tenancy sustainment services across your region. You’ll play a key role in driving performance, meeting KPIs and Tenant Satisfaction Measures, and working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to continuously improve services.

About You

You’ll be an experienced housing professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering quality services.

You will have:

  • Experience in housing management, ideally with vulnerable or complex needs
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy management, arrears, and housing processes
  • The ability to manage priorities and make sound decisions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach

A relevant housing or management qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
