Job summary

Home Group in Sunderland is seeking a Housing and Property Lead to oversee tenancy support, ensuring homes are safe and well maintained. You will manage rent accounts and assist tenants with housing benefit claims to support secure, long-term accommodation.

You will lead a small team, engage tenants in their tenancies, and ensure timely actions when required, including warnings and court processes where necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a housing caseload and handle landlord and housing management duties.
• Ability to lead a small team and support colleagues.
• Knowledge of housing benefit claims and tenancy processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure properties are safe and well maintained for tenants.
• Support tenants with housing benefit claims and rent accounts.
• Issue and sign warning letters and notices when needed, potentially attending court.
• Prepare rooms/units for new tenants and maintain occupancy targets.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and maintenance standards.
