Job summary

Home Group Limited is seeking a Housing and Property Lead to focus on tenancy support, ensuring homes are safe and well maintained. You will manage rent accounts, support customers to sustain tenancies, and help them move toward secure accommodation.

Responsibilities include engaging tenants, handling housing benefit claims, issuing notices, and preparing properties for new tenants within timelines. This role is based in the North Shields area with travel to properties.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a housing caseload and handle landlord and housing management duties.
• Know-how of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
• Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to colleagues
• The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
• A can do positive attitude, youre proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
• Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners

This is a great opportunity to join our team. As our Housing and Property Lead, youll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, youll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation!

What you'll do

Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, youll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.

You have

The practical bits

• Temporary (10 months), full time (37.5 hpw)
• You'll work Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
• Based at our service in North Shieldsyoull spend your time travelling around the properties in this location
• Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,
• Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
