Job description

Housing Management Coordinator Darlington - Hybrid working between Darlington and home. Permanent, full-time (37.5 hpw). Salary £25,838 per annum. Great benefits including Health Cash Plan. Home, a place where you belong.

This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Coordinator to join our team here in Darlington at STEP.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Focus on tenancy support for customers, ensuring homes are safe and well maintained.
  2. Provide housing management services, supporting customers to manage and sustain their tenancies and rent accounts.
  3. Support customers with housing benefit claims and related rent account issues.
  4. Issue and sign warning letters and notices, attending court when necessary.
  5. Prepare properties for new tenants and ensure maximum occupancy by turning around vacant properties within set timescales.
  6. Ensure health and safety compliance and maintenance standards are met.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord duties.
  • Knowledge of re-letting procedures, rent collection, and tenancy actions.
  • Ability to lead and support team colleagues.
  • Proactive, well-organized, and able to work independently.
  • Confident in working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.

Job Details:
  • Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
  • Based in Darlington, with travel around properties.
  • Use technology for support plans, benefit claims, and tenancy sign-ups.
  • Must have a vehicle insured for business purposes; mileage paid.
  • Enhanced DBS check required (paid for by us).
