Job summary

Humbercare Ltd is hiring for a full-time, 40-hour-per-week temporary role (6 months) to deliver an accommodation-based housing support service. You will engage weekly with customers to enable independent living, manage support and risk plans, and work with local agencies to signpost services.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed care and person-centered approaches. Applicants should have a Level 2 Diploma or equivalent, experience in social care, and strong communication and organizational

Qualifications

• Educated to Level 2 Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience of working in a social care or similar environment.
• Knowledge of Psychologically Informed Environments and Trauma Informed Care Principles and Practice.
• Knowledge of statutory and voluntary support agencies.
• Working knowledge of person-centred, strengths-based approaches to support and care planning.
• Experience of working with others to achieve successful outcomes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Team working experience, working cooperatively with colleagues in complex, pressurised situations.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload.
• Desirable: Willing to work towards a recognised housing/care/support qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an accommodation-based, housing-related support service to prevent or resolve homelessness.
• Engage with customers weekly to support independence and tenancy sustainment.
• Co-provide support plans, risk management and crisis intervention for positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with local statutory and voluntary agencies as required; signpost to services.
• Support customers' physical and mental health, wellbeing, and healthy lifestyles.
• Help customers build healthy relationships and participate in meaningful activities.
• Provide high-quality service and act as a Humbercare ambassador to customers.
