Job summary

Horton Housing is recruiting two Support Coaches for the LIFE (Living Independently For Everyone) team in Selby. Each role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, focused on empowering people to become tenancy ready and access welfare and life-skills support.

As a Support Coach, you will work with individuals to create tailored plans, monitor welfare, and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed for both hosts in accommodation and community clients.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate empathetic, caring approach to people in difficult circumstances.
• Excellent communication and active listening to empower people we support.
• Be resilient, adaptable, and capable of making sound decisions per procedures.
• Identify risk and follow safeguarding policies.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Work with people we support to achieve individual goals and tenancy readiness.
• Develop tailored support plans and assist with welfare access and life skills coaching.
• Conduct welfare checks and uphold safeguarding policies.
• Support people in our supported accommodation and in the community.
