Job summary

Home Group is seeking a part-time Security/Support role in Redruth, Cornwall. You will help ensure safe buildings, greet customers, and respond to repairs while maintaining a welcoming environment.

The role includes monitoring CCTV, fire doors, and communal areas, acting as the first line of support when others are unavailable, and working with partners to manage anti-social behaviour. DBS check is required, with paid mileage for business travel.

Qualifications

• Calm, respectful and patient in handling customers.
• Excellent communication with diverse customers.
• Experience helping vulnerable people or customers.
• Ability to recognise issues early and intervene appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Walk around the building to check CCTV, fire doors and communal areas.
• Greet customers and visitors; handle repairs or cleaning requests.
• Be the first line of support when the wider team isn’t available.
• Monitor incidents calmly, respond quickly and fairly.
• Work with colleagues to manage anti-social behaviour.
