Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a Housing Casework Supervisor to support delivery of high-quality housing advice, homelessness prevention and statutory services. You will supervise casework, provide technical guidance, and ensure timely, person-centred support for residents in housing need or crisis.

The role requires extensive knowledge of homelessness legislation, safeguarding, and strong leadership to coordinate colleagues and partners.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive and up-to-date working knowledge of homelessness legislation and duties owed to citizens.
• Ability to supervise staff to deliver a customer-facing service with technical guidance.
• Creative problem solving to identify and implement solutions.
• Good working knowledge of safeguarding.
• Experience dealing with legal challenges from advocates and customer complaints.
• Understanding the importance of equality, diversity, and inclusion in all we do.
