Job summary

Stafford Borough & Cannock Chase District Councils are recruiting a Caseworker for the Housing Assistance Shared Service. The post is permanent, 37 hours per week, and offers a Grade F (SCP 12-19) salary of £29,542–£33,119 per annum.

You will support residents in three councils, carry out home adaptations funding assessments, visit homes, and coordinate market-leading housing services while working in a supportive, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience in Housing, Home Improvement Agency, Social Care or Benefits advice.
• Confident operating in a public sector environment.
• Willing to visit residents' homes to gather documents and undertake financial assessments.
• Prepared to undertake training to carry out trusted assessor assessments.
• Collaborative, professional and committed to delivering high-quality adaptations.

Responsibilities

• Support managers and leaders across three councils.
• Contribute to development of the Housing Assistance Shared Service.
• Assist residents with home adaptations and funding.
• Provide a single point of contact throughout the customer journey.
