Job summary
Langstone Quays Resort is seeking a Housekeeping Team Member for weekend shifts on a seasonal basis. You will join a small team, reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, and perform a range of cleaning tasks across the resort while upholding high cleanliness standards.
Candidates should be flexible, work well under pressure and maintain a professional appearance and attitude to ensure that guests receive a superb experience at all times.
Qualifications
- Willingness to undertake training.
- Housekeeping/cleaning experience not required but helpful.
- Basic cleaning duties and standards knowledge preferable.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of hotel, bedrooms, corridors and public areas.
- Prepare rooms for cleaning, strip beds and collect used items.
- Replenish amenities and respond to guest requests promptly.
- Report maintenance issues in rooms.
- Ensure trolleys and linen are kept clean and stocked daily.
- Work efficiently to have rooms ready for guest arrival.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeping Assistant to join the resort on a seasonal basis. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, and working as part of a small team, the successful candidate will have a flexible approach to work and will perform a variety of cleaning tasks across the resort, to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained. Candidates will work well under pressure to ensure tasks are completed on time with a commitment to providing the best guest experience at all times.

- To be responsible for the cleanliness throughout the hotel and guest bedrooms, corridors and public areas including back of house areas
- Enter and prepare the room for cleaning i.e. stripping beds, emptying bins, collecting dirty bathroom towels.
- Ensure that cleaning is to the company standards
- Replenish guest amenities as and when required
- Respond to any guest requests
- Report any maintenance issues within the rooms
- Replenish work trolleys and clean linen on a daily basis
- Ensure cleaning is consistent in every room
- Working quickly and efficiently so guests’ rooms are ready on time for arrival
- Maintain high standard of personal appearance and hygiene including wearing and maintaining a clean uniform at all times.
- Follow all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook including any department specific procedures such as left luggage policy.
- Be aware of and follow all Health and Safety procedures
