Woolley Grange Hotel in Wiltshire is hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor to assist the Head Housekeeper in delivering the highest standards of guest rooms and public areas. This permanent, 30-hour-per-week role includes weekend work, a generous service charge, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional growth within Luxury Family Hotels.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping, preferably luxury 4- or 5-star.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate a team.
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and health and safety regulations.
• Experience in managing rotas, payroll, and stock control.
• Customer-focused mindset and commitment to exceptional service.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities in a physical role.

Position Overview:

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping department. You will ensure the highest standards of service, contributing to the overall success of Woolley Grange. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in housekeeping in a supervisory capacity, a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, and the ability to lead a team to success.

This a permanent role, at 30 hours per week (including weekends), with a rate of £12.71 per hour, plus generous service charge and a brilliant benefits package.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Housekeeper in managing and supervising the housekeeping team, ensuring they adhere to the hotel's standards and procedures.
• Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure they are immaculately presented.
• Train and mentor housekeeping staff, providing guidance on best practices, health and safety and customer service.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as front of house and maintenance, to fulfil guest requests and address any issues promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
• Handle guest enquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently, striving to exceed guest expectations.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a housekeeping department, preferably in a luxury 4 or 5 star hotel.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and maintenance procedures, health and Safety regulations.
• Knowledge of managing rotas and payroll and some experience in ordering and managing stock.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, working to tight timeframes, enjoying a physical job role.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
