Job summary

The Headland Hotel Co. Ltd is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness across guest bedrooms and public areas, with attention to detail and a friendly, professional attitude.

This position is offered on a zero hour contract with flexible hours including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and peak times. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and provide ID as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning is preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team.
• Friendly, approachable and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest bedrooms, cottages and front-of-house areas to maintain high cleanliness and presentation.
• Assist in laundry with cleaning, pressing and folding linen.
• Deliver fresh linen to rooms and areas, strip beds, dispose of rubbish and recycling.
• Ensure areas are stocked with supplies and equipment; maintain a safe, tidy workspace.

The Role...

Are you detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about creating a welcoming environment? We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our team!

Main Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and daily services on guest bedrooms, cottages, and front-of-house areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Assisting in the laundry department with cleaning, pressing and folding linen.
• Delivering fresh linen to rooms and areas throughout the hotel, assisting with stripping beds, disposing of rubbish and recycling.
• Ensuring that all areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organised workspace at all times.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude.

Salary and Contract...

This position is offered on a zero hour contract. This role requires flexibility as the hours that are available will include working evenings, weekends, bank holidays and additional hours during our busiest times.
