Job summary

The Wordsworth Inn in Grasmere is opening its doors and seeks a proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to lead a team across 55 bedrooms and 196 internal covers. You will deputise for the Head Housekeeper, drive cleanliness, and ensure guest rooms and public areas are immaculate, contributing to a memorable guest stay.

You will manage stock, train staff, and coordinate with the General Manager to ensure smooth operations. Great team fit and a passion for hospitality are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Supervisory housekeeping experience based on deputising for Head Housekeeper.
• Ensuring rooms and public areas meet high cleanliness standards.
• Stock control of linen and room supplies.
• Experience training new and existing team members.

You’ll Fit Right Inn

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of the team, deputising in the absence of the Head Housekeeper while maintaining a friendly, detail-oriented approach. You’ll take pride in your work, remain calm under pressure, exceed guest expectations by responding effectively to requests.

Your duties will include cleaning rooms to our high standards, ensuring public areas are clean and welcoming, promptly reporting maintenance issues, and following safety guidelines. You’ll work closely with the team to create memorable visits, manage stocks of linen, towels, and room supplies, and train new and existing team members. Providing updates to the General Manager will be part of your role, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
