Budock Vean Hotel in Cornwall seeks an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead our high-end rooms and public areas to exceptional standards. You will manage a busy team, uphold flawless cleanliness, and liaise with department heads and guests to deliver memorable stays.

You bring calm under pressure, strong communication, and a meticulous eye for detail, coupled with a proactive, autonomous mindset to sustain our award-winning hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with warmth and ensure top hospitality during their stay.
• Minimise and handle complaints per policies with professionalism.
• Maintain highest cleanliness across rooms and public areas.
• Collaborate with HHK to inspect rooms before arrival and meet guest needs.
• Supervise housekeeping staff and oversee stock control.
• Follow hotel policies and training guidelines.
• Report maintenance faults and observe safety procedures.

Role & Responsibilities

• To ensure all of our guests receive a warm welcome and are treated to the up most hospitality and care during their stay with us - we aim to provide an unforgettable experience
• To ensure all complaints are minimised and handles professionally as in accordance with our policies
• To ensure the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the Rooms and Public Areas are met at all times
• To work with the HHK to inspect all rooms prior to arrival and to ensure all guest specific requirements are met
• To work with the HHK to oversee the laundering of all bed linen, towels, restaurant linen and uniforms
• To supervise the team in accordance with our policies
• To ensure stock control with the HHK
• To follow all hotel policies as outlined in your training manual:
• To clean the hotel bedrooms and corridors and maintain our high standard
• To keep all cupboards neat and presentable at all times
• All cleaning materials to be used to the HHKs specification
• To report any maintenance faults
• Follow the lost property procedure
• To observe and comply with cleaning rotas, health and safety regulations
• To understand responsibilities in relation to Fire Procedures, Health and Safety, COSHH, Infection Control and Emergency Aid.
• To ensure a good working relationship with all other departments and communicate information throughout the hotel
