Job summary

The Scotsman Group, Scotland’s largest and most diverse hospitality group, is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor for one of its venues. You will oversee cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas, and lead induction and ongoing training for the team.

Flexibility for weekend work is required, with a focus on coaching, customer service, and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment across our Scotland-wide venues.

Qualifications

• Great attention to detail essential for maintaining cleanliness and standards.
• Excellent customer service skills to anticipate and deliver guest needs.
• Previous supervisory experience desirable to lead the team.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with staff and management.
• Ability to coach and motivate the housekeeping team during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in guest bedrooms and public areas.
• Ensure comprehensive induction and regular ongoing training for the team.
• Train and motivate the housekeeping staff; conduct regular performance reviews.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards at all times within the venue.
• Handle customer requests and complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.

The Role

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, Your Role Will Include

• Ensuring that in-house standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at a high level, both in guest bedrooms and public areas.
• Responsible for ensuring that they have a comprehensive induction, and that they have regular on going training.
• Train and motivate the housekeeping team
• Ensure hygiene and safety standard are met within the venue at all times
• To hold regular performance reviews with all housekeeping staff, identifying areas for development and training needs.
• Manage any customer requests/complaints.

The Person

You will be required to be flexible and available for weekend work as necessary, have excellent time keeping skills, able to work in a very fast paced environment with good understanding of time limits per room for check outs and stay overs.

You will enjoy working with others, have a great "can do" approach to customer service and importantly have a friendly approach to everyone who you come in contact with.
