Job summary

Elizabeth Finn Homes Limited is seeking a compassionate Housekeeping/Laundry Assistant at Rashwood Care Home in Droitwich Spa. The role focuses on daily cleaning to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment, supporting catering and care teams, and delivering prompt service to residents.

You will follow hygiene standards, operate cleaning equipment safely, and participate in training while upholding Health & Safety and COSHH requirements. A bank contract applies.

Qualifications

• Good general education and basic food handling awareness required.
• Basic Food Awareness Certificate or NVQ Level 2 is desirable (or willingness to work towards it).
• In good general health to meet the requirements of the role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality cleaning across all areas including bedrooms, communal spaces, bathrooms, offices and corridors.
• Follow cleaning procedures and hygiene standards to prevent cross-infection and maintain a safe environment.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and report faults or issues promptly.
• Take responsibility for Health & Safety and COSHH compliance, reporting hazards or concerns without delay.
• Work to schedules and time limits, supporting colleagues and reporting resident concerns to care or nursing staff.

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Housekeepinge Assistant toassist in the daily cleaning of the Home to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment, giving our resident a prompt and courteous service at all times.Workingalongside our catering and care teams, you’ll help create a safe, engaging and comfortable environment where residents can thrive.

What you'll do

• Follow agreed cleaning procedures and hygiene standards to prevent cross‑infection and maintain a safe environment.

• Take responsibility for Health & Safety and COSHH compliance, reporting hazards, accidents, or concerns without delay.
• Work effectively to schedules and time limits, supporting colleagues, attending training/meetings, and reporting any resident concerns to care or nursing staff.
