Elizabeth Finn Homes is seeking a compassionate Housekeeping Assistant for Rush Court Home near Wallingford, Oxfordshire. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, working with catering and care teams to ensure comfort and dignity.

The role is permanent with full-time/part-time hours and weekend shifts, paying £13.45 per hour. You will follow cleaning procedures, uphold hygiene standards, and support residents and staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic Food Awareness Certificate or NVQ level 2 desirable.
• In good general health to meet the requirements of the role.
• Empathy with older people.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high‑quality cleaning across bedrooms, communal spaces, bathrooms, offices, corridors, windows, and fixtures.
• Follow cleaning procedures and hygiene standards to prevent cross‑infection and maintain a safe environment.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and report faults promptly.
• Maintain Health & Safety and COSHH compliance and report hazards or concerns promptly.
• Work to schedules, support colleagues, attend training, and report resident concerns to care staff.

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Housekeepinge Assistant toassist in the daily cleaning of the Home to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment, giving our resident a prompt and courteous service at all times.Workingalongside our catering and care teams, you’ll help create a safe, engaging and comfortable environment where residents can thrive.

What you'll do

Carry out high‑quality cleaning across all areas, including bedrooms, communal spaces, bathrooms, offices, corridors, windows, and fixtures.

Follow agreed cleaning procedures and hygiene standards to prevent cross‑infection and maintain a safe environment.

Use cleaning equipment safely and correctly, reporting any faults or issues promptly.

Take responsibility for Health & Safety and COSHH compliance, reporting hazards, accidents, or concerns without delay.

Work effectively to schedules and time limits, supporting colleagues, attending training/meetings, and reporting any resident concerns to care or nursing staff.

Qualifications & Skills

Basic Food Awareness Certificate or NVQ level 2 is desirable(or willingness to work towards it).

In good general health to meet the requirements of the role.
