Job summary

Champneys is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to uphold luxury standards across guest bedrooms and communal areas. You will maintain spotless rooms, calm environments and discreet service to help guests relax and enjoy their wellbeing stay.

Key duties include servicing bedrooms to Champneys standards, preparing rooms for arrival, keeping trolleys stocked and reporting maintenance issues promptly. The role offers a zero-hour contract and an hourly rate with gratuities.

Responsibilities

• Servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms to exceptional Champneys standards.
• Preparing rooms so they feel calm, inviting and ready for guests to relax from the moment they arrive.
• Maintaining tidy corridors and working areas, ensuring guest privacy and discretion at all times.
• Keeping housekeeping trolleys and stock rooms well organised and fully stocked.
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage or stock shortages promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Working respectfully and quietly within guest accommodation, recognising that guests are here to rest and unwind.
• Responding politely and professionally to guest requests in line with company procedures.
• Supporting wider housekeeping and laundry duties when required.
• Attending team meetings and training, with a willingness to continually improve standards and skills.
• Following all health, safety and fire procedures at all times.
• Using cleaning products and equipment responsibly and in line with COSHH guidance.
• Maintaining high standards of personal presentation, punctuality and conduct.
