Job summary

Champneys Forest Mere is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant on a zero-hour contract to service guest bedrooms and areas to luxury Champneys standards. The role emphasizes discretion, cleanliness and guest comfort to ensure peaceful stays.

You will prepare rooms, maintain tidy corridors, keep trolleys stocked and respond to guest requests with professionalism, while adhering to health and safety procedures and participating in training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms to exceptional Champneys standards, ensuring cleanliness, presentation and comfort
• Preparing rooms so they feel calm, inviting and ready for guests to relax from the moment they arrive
• Maintaining tidy corridors and working areas, ensuring guest privacy and discretion at all times
• Keeping housekeeping trolleys and stock rooms well organised and fully stocked
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage or stock shortages promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Working respectfully and quietly within guest accommodation, recognising that guests are here to rest and unwind
• Responding politely and professionally to guest requests in line with company procedures
• Supporting wider housekeeping and laundry duties when required
• Attending team meetings and training, with a willingness to continually improve standards and skills
• Health, safety and professionalism:
• Following all health, safety and fire procedures at all times
• Using cleaning products and equipment responsibly and in line with COSHH guidance
• Maintaining high standards of personal presentation, punctuality and conduct
• Working with discretion and confidentiality in all guest areas
