Job summary

Retirement Villages Group's Gradwell Retirement Village in South Chailey, Lewes, seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to cover Wednesday to Friday, 8:30am–2:30pm (18 hours per week). You will help maintain clean living spaces, communal areas and support residents with a comfortable, respectful environment.

You will follow cleaning schedules, assist with laundry, manage supplies, and respond to residents' needs. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to a compassionate, well-led retirement

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and adhere to high cleanliness standards.
• Compassionate and respectful attitude towards elderly residents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize residents' apartments, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, including dining rooms, lounges, and recreational spaces.
• Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, and folding residents' clothing and linens.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling.
• Follow cleaning schedules and adhere to high cleanliness standards.
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and report when restocking is needed.
• Respond to special requests from residents or their families as needed.
• Foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere within the retirement village.

Retirement Villages Group is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housekeeper to join our team at Gradwell Retirement Village based in South Chailey, Lewes to work Wednesday - Friday 8:30am to 2:30pm (18 hours per week)

Your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness and order of residents' living spaces, common areas, and other facilities in accordance with our high cleanliness standards. Your flexibility and willingness to adapt to different working environments will be highly valued.
