Job summary

Retirement Villages Group is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join Lime Tree Retirement Village in Cawston on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). You will maintain clean, comfortable living spaces for residents and help keep common areas tidy in a warm, respectful environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms, laundering resident clothing, following schedules, and reporting supply needs.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and adhere to high cleanliness standards.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Compassionate and respectful attitude towards elderly residents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work across multiple retirement villages as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize residents' apartments, including bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as dining rooms, lounges and recreational spaces.
• Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying and folding residents' clothing and linens.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling.
• Follow cleaning schedules and adhere to high cleanliness standards.
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and report when restocking is needed.
• Respond to special requests from residents or their families as needed.
• Foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere within the retirement village.
