Job summary

Retirement Villages Group Ltd. seeks a dedicated Housekeeper at Gradwell Retirement Village in South Chailey, Lewes, for Wednesday to Friday, 8:30am–2:30pm (18 hours per week).

You will clean residents' apartments, common areas, and assist with laundry while upholding high cleanliness standards and showing compassion for elderly residents. Flexibility to work across multiple villages is valued.

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and respectful attitude toward residents.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize residents' apartments, including bedrooms and bathrooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as dining rooms and lounges.
• Assist with laundry services (washing, drying, folding).
• Dispose of waste and recycling properly.
• Follow cleaning schedules and maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and report restocking needs.
• Respond to residents' requests and support the retirement village community.
• Foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere for residents.

Retirement Villages Group is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housekeeper to join our team at Gradwell Retirement Village based in South Chailey, Lewes to work Wednesday - Friday 8:30am to 2:30pm (18 hours per week).

We are committed to creating comfortable and enjoyable living environments for our residents, and housekeeping plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and comfort.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness and order of residents' living spaces, common areas, and other facilities in accordance with our high cleanliness standards. Your flexibility and willingness to adapt to different working environments will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize residents' apartments, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and living areas
• Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, including dining rooms, lounges, and recreational spaces
• Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, and folding residents' clothing and linens
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling
• Follow cleaning schedules and adhere to high cleanliness standards
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and report when restocking is needed
• Respond to special requests from residents or their families as needed
• Foster a friendly and supportive atmosphere within the retirement village

Requirements
