Job summary

Abbeyfield Living Society invites applications for a Housekeeper and Cook at Alistair House. This permanent role involves cooking for residents, cleaning and maintaining communal areas, and providing friendly, supportive companionship to older people within a warm, community-focused setting.

The position requires reliability, good organizational skills, and basic IT knowledge; full training will be provided. Working hours rota are specified with a 9am-6pm shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Prepare wholesome, home-cooked meals for residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in kitchen and shared spaces.
• Support residents' wellbeing and be a friendly point of contact.
• Assist with basic budget management and supplies as needed.

We are looking for a Housekeeper and Cook to join the team at Alistair House.

Role: Housekeeper and Cook

Location: Rectory Lane, Bourton on the water, GL54 2AX

Hourly Rate: £13.61

Contract: Permanent

Rota: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday / Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 9am to 6pm 1 hour lunch.

What We’re Looking For as a Housekeeper and Cook:

• Confidence in cooking for up to 9 people plus
• Strong organizational skills, ready to handle a variety of tasks
• Excellent customer service skills with a genuine understanding of the needs of older people
• Basic computer skills (Outlook and Excel experience is a plus, but full training will be provided)

About the Role of Housekeeper and Cook :
