Job summary

Country Court Ltd is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for Selwood House Care Home in Charlton Down, Dorchester. The role involves washing, ironing and maintaining immaculate resident rooms and shared areas, with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene across the home.

You will join a family-run group, with 37.5 hours per week, weekend shifts on a rota, and benefits including annual pay reviews, training with qualifications, staff discounts, free uniform and pension.

Qualifications

• Experience as a housekeeper or laundry assistant preferred.
• Friendly and caring attitude.
• Able to engage with residents and families.
• Knowledge of the care sector.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident rooms and common areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Wash, press and fold residents' clothing and bedding.
• Ensure equipment and surfaces are kept in a pristine, safe condition.

Housekeeper - required for our luxury care home ‘Selwood House’ in Charlton Down, Dorchester, Dorset, Part of the Country Court Family.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, working weekends on rota (Shift Times- 7:00 am to 03:00pm)

Selwood House Care Home located in Charlton Down near Dorchester accommodates up to 84 residents, and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater for various care needs. Specialising in residential care, dementia care, and short-term respite care, Selwood House will provide a warm welcome as soon as you set foot through the door.

ABOUT THE HOUSEKEEPER/ LAUNDRY ASSISTANT ROLE

Within your role, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Our Housekeepers have the highest of standards when it comes to our Homes. They have exceptional attention to detail, a keen eye for anything out of place as well as making sure all our Residents personal clothing and bedding are washed, pressed, and folded immaculately. They also make sure that our Residents rooms are to the highest of standard of cleanliness and hygiene through thorough cleaning, no surface is left unchecked. They really are a key cog in our family.

• Experience as a housekeeper or laundry assistant is preferred but not essential
• Have a friendly & caring attitude
• Able to engage well with the residents and their families
• Knowledge or understanding of the care sector
