Job summary

Birchwood Heights in Swanley is seeking a kind and reliable Housekeeper to help create a clean, safe and comfortable home for residents. This part-time position offers 20 hours per week, with days shifts and pay of £13.20 per hour.

You will maintain cleanliness, handle laundry, and support infection control as part of a friendly care home team dedicated to residents’ wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience; care home experience is a bonus but not essential.
• Positive attitude, good attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Warm and respectful approach when working in residents’ personal spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in residents’ rooms and communal areas.
• Carry out daily cleaning routines and deep-clean schedules.
• Ensure laundry is washed, dried, and returned promptly.
• Support infection control procedures.
• Work as part of a friendly team focused on residents’ wellbeing.
