Job summary

Elliots Hill Care Ltd seeks a reliable Housekeeper to cover cleaning, laundry and catering support within a residential care home. You will work to a cleaning schedule, maintain a hygienic environment, and assist with meal service as needed.

The role emphasises safety, infection prevention and team collaboration, with full training, and a supportive environment for career progression within the EH Group.

Qualifications

• Previous experience or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the care home to maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure the environment remains comfortable and welcoming at all times.
• Maintaining required documents such as cleaning schedules.
• At times, supporting the catering time completing cleaning tasks and serving residents their meals.
• Supporting the catering team to prepare meals when required.
• Promoting safe working practice within the home and reporting any hazards to the Registered Manager.
• Working in line withHealth & Safety, Emergency and Fire procedures, COSHH, all aspects of the Care Standards Act, have a clear understanding of Infection Prevention and Control policies, procedures, and measures to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.

About the role…

As a Housekeeper for Elliots Hill Care Ltd, you’ll carry out a range of tasks to help us provide the quality care and support our residents deserve. No two days will be the same as you take on diverse responsibilities across; housekeeping, laundry and catering.

Reporting to the Manager, whilst working as a team to ensure all cleaning tasks are delivered to a high standard in accordance to the cleaning schedule to always provide a clean and hygienic environment.

Duties include: Undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the care home to maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure the environment remains comfortable and welcoming at all times. Maintaining required documents such as cleaning schedules.
