Job summary

Elliots Hill Care Ltd is seeking a Housekeeper to join the care home team in Pembrokeshire. You will handle housekeeping, laundry and some catering duties, reporting to the Manager, and ensuring spaces are clean, welcoming and safe for residents.

• Experience in housekeeping or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general housekeeping duties across the home to keep high cleanliness standards.
• Assist with laundry tasks and maintain hygiene in shared spaces.
• Support catering team by cleaning and serving meals when required.
• Adhere to health and safety policies, infection control and COSHH guidelines.
• Keep cleaning schedules and documentation up to date.

About the role…

As a Housekeeper for Elliots Hill Care Ltd, you’ll carry out a range of tasks to help us provide the quality care and support our residents deserve. No two days will be the same as you take on diverse responsibilities across; housekeeping, laundry and catering.

Reporting to the Manager, whilst working as a team to ensure all cleaning tasks are delivered to a high standard in accordance to the cleaning schedule to always provide a clean and hygienic environment.

Duties include: Undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the care home to maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure the environment remains comfortable and welcoming at all times.

Maintaining required documents such as cleaning schedules.

At times, supporting the catering time completing cleaning tasks and serving residents their meals. Supporting the catering team to prepare meals when required.

Promoting safe working practice within the home and reporting any hazards to the Registered Manager. Working in line withHealth & Safety, Emergency and Fire procedures, COSHH, all aspects of the Care Standards Act, have a clear understanding of Infection Prevention and Control policies, procedures, and measures to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.
