Job summary

Care South is seeking a Housekeeper to join Marjorie House in Poole. You will keep the home clean, safe and welcoming for residents, supporting laundry tasks and assisting as part of the housekeeping team.

Experience in a care home is not required, but a real desire to create a fresh, welcoming environment is important. You must be flexible in hours and able to work as part of a larger team.

About The Role

Role: Housekeeper

Location: Marjorie House, Crichel Mount Road, Poole, BH14 8LT

Pay: £12.85 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week over 4 days

Shift Patterns Available: 7:30 - 18:00

We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join the team at Marjorie House,our stunning purpose built residential and dementia care home located on Crichel Mount, with stunning views over Poole Harbour.

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring our home is kept clean, safe and comfortable throughout for our residents
• Supporting with the cleaning of communal areas and residents own rooms
• Provide some support to the laundry team to include washing, drying and ironing of residents clothing
• Comply with all policies and procedures, including COSHH regulations, with regard to cleaning products and use of chemicals.
• Work as a team player to create and maintain a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere within the home.

Who are we looking for:

Previous experience within a care home setting is not essential – but we want you to come in and enjoy housekeeping!

A real desire to create a fresh and welcoming environment for residents, staff and visitors to enjoy.

Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join in as part of a larger housekeeping team.
