Job summary

Altogether care invites applications for a Housekeeper at Sherborne Home in Yeovil. You will maintain high standards of hygiene and tidiness by cleaning rooms, furniture, fabrics, carpets and equipment, and ensuring sanitary areas are clean.

Enhanced DBS is required and the role contributes to a welcoming, safe environment for residents and visitors. The position is a permanent contract, 24 hours per week including some alternative weekends.

• Maintain cleanliness of sanitary areas and other equipment, following strict guidelines to prevent the spread of germs and infestations.
• Dispose of all waste safely and in accordance with prescribed procedures.

Job description

As a housekeeper you will: Clean all assigned rooms, including furniture, fittings, fabrics, carpets, and equipment, ensuring high standards of hygiene and tidiness. Maintain cleanliness of sanitary areas and other equipment, following strict guidelines to prevent the spread of germs and infestations. Dispose of all waste safely and in accordance with prescribed procedures. While previous experience in a care home is not required, you should take pride in your work, knowing that your efforts contribute to a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for residents and visitors. All successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS. N.B
