Control Flow is seeking a Field Based Technician to cover Liverpool and the Wirral. The role involves visiting customers at home to reduce water waste, perform surveys, check readings, install devices, and provide practical advice.

You will also engage residents face-to-face to arrange appointments and explain benefits. You will visit households, perform surveys, record outcomes in the CRM, and manage equipment while working toward daily targets.

Field Based Technician £28,000 Liverpool & Wirral

Permanent Field Based Company Vehicle + Fuel Card

Do you enjoy practical, hands-on work and meeting new people? Are you confident working independently and looking for a field-based role where you re out and about rather than stuck behind a desk?

Control Flow is looking for a Field Based Technician to join its Water Efficiency Team across Liverpool and the Wirral.

The role

You ll visit customers in their homes to help them reduce water waste and improve efficiency.

Your day will include carrying out water surveys, checking meter readings and flow rates, installing simple water-saving devices, identifying minor leaks and giving customers practical advice on reducing their water use.

You ll also speak with residents face-to-face, including some door-to-door engagement, to arrange appointments and explain the benefits of water-saving improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit households across Liverpool and the Wirral
• Carry out water efficiency surveys and basic checks
• Install water-saving devices
• Identify and complete minor leak repairs within your training
• Give customers practical water-saving advice
• Canvass local areas and arrange appointments
• Record visits and outcomes using the CRM system
• Manage equipment and vehicle stock
• Work towards daily and weekly targets
• Follow Health & Safety and safeguarding procedures

The person

You ll need:

• Full UK driving licence
• Practical experience in maintenance, repairs or similar hands-on work
• Confidence using basic hand tools
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Confidence speaking with customers face-to-face
• Ability to organise your own workload and work independently
• Basic IT skills
• Experience in plumbing, property maintenance, water efficiency, field service or door-to-door work would be useful, but training can be provided.
• A clear DBS check will be required.
