Job summary

Control Flow is seeking a Household Water Auditor – Field Based Technician to join its Water Efficiency Team across Liverpool and the Wirral. You will visit customers in their homes to carry out water surveys, check readings and install simple saving devices.

This permanent, field-based role comes with a company vehicle and fuel card, 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, a pension scheme, and ongoing training and support to help you deliver practical water-saving improvements.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance, repairs or similar work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to speak with customers face-to-face and explain water-saving measures.

Responsibilities

Household Water Auditor – Field Based Technician | £28,000 | Liverpool & Wirral

Permanent | Field Based | Company Vehicle + Fuel Card

Do you enjoy practical, hands-on work and meeting new people? Are you confident working independently and looking for a field-based role where you’re out and about rather than stuck behind a desk? Control Flow is looking for a Household Water Auditor – Field Based Technician to join its Water Efficiency Team across Liverpool and the Wirral.

The role

You’ll visit customers in their homes to help them reduce water waste and improve efficiency. Your day will include carrying out water surveys, checking meter readings and flow rates, installing simple water-saving devices, identifying minor leaks and giving customers practical advice on reducing their water use. You’ll also speak with residents face-to-face, including some door-to-door engagement, to arrange appointments and explain the benefits of water-saving improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and complete minor leak repairs within your training
• Give customers practical water-saving advice
• Canvass local areas and arrange appointments

The person

You’ll need:

• Full UK driving licence
• Practical experience in maintenance, repairs or similar hands-on work
• Confidence using basic hand tools
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Confidence speaking with customers face-to-face
• Ability to organise your own workload and work independently
• Basic IT skills
• Experience in plumbing, property maintenance, water efficiency, field service or door-to-door work would be useful, but training can be provided.
• A clear DBS check will be required.
