Job summary

McCarthy Stone is seeking a customer–focused House Manager for Loddon House in Twyford, Reading. The role focuses on front-of-house, event coordination, and supporting homeowners to maintain independence, with 25 hours per week across weekdays.

You will greet residents, manage visitor reception, liaise with partners, arrange social activities, oversee gardens and safety, and report updates. A strong customer service background and computer skills (Word and Outlook) are essential; first aid

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in professional customer service oriented roles.
• Excellent communication with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety practices.
• Competent in basic computer tasks (Word/Outlook).
• First aid qualifications are advantageous with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming homeowners and assisting them to settle into apartments.
• Provide a professional front of house service for visitors.
• Be the first point of contact for homeowners and offer help as needed.
• Collaborate with partners and suppliers to run the estate smoothly.
• Act as the face of McCarthy Stone for homeowners' families and friends.
• Address homeowner issues with confidentiality and discretion.
• Manage the development gardens and grounds to ensure a safe, pleasant environment.
• Facilitate social interaction and retirement living activities for residents.
• Ensure Health and Safety requirements are followed.
