Job summary

Thistle Kensington Gardens is seeking a front-of-house professional to join our reception team in London. You will welcome guests, handle check-in/out, and address guest queries with a proactive, guest-centered approach to create memorable experiences.

The role operates on a shift rota (five days out of seven) with an hourly pay rate of £13.50 plus commissions. Experience with Opera is a plus, but dedication to exceptional service is what matters most.

Thistle Kensington Gardens is located near Queensway, within walking distance of Hyde Park and the West End of London. The hotel has recently been refurbished and has 175 bedrooms, including Executive rooms with fabulous views over the park, and three meeting rooms.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work mainly on the Reception desk, ensuring that every guest feels warmly welcomed and supported throughout their stay. While experience with Opera is a plus, what matters most is your dedication to creating memorable experiences. Your proactive, calm approach will be essential in anticipating guest needs and resolving any queries with ease even during busy times. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to build connections and deliver truly personalized service, going beyond Check-in and Check-Out to make each guest feel at home.

Our Front of House Team operates on a shift rota, so you’ll need to be comfortable working five days out of seven, with a mix of early and late shifts.
