Job summary

Thistle Express Luton is seeking a Front of House Receptionist to warmly welcome guests and support them throughout their stay. You’ll primarily work at the reception desk, with a proactive, calm approach to resolving queries and creating memorable experiences.

The role requires flexibility to work five days out of seven on a mix of early and late shifts, with hourly pay of £13.50 plus commissions and opportunities to earn more through bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Work mainly on the Reception desk, ensuring guests are warmly welcomed and supported during their stay.
• Handle queries and resolve them with a calm, proactive approach, even during busy times.
• Go beyond Check-in/Check-Out to deliver personalized service and build guest connections.
• Work a five-day-out-of-seven shift rota with a mix of early and late shifts.

Thistle Express Luton is a 3* hotel aimed at the savvy, value conscious traveller. It is a 152 bedroom hotel with modern design, stylish bedrooms, friendly service and fast, free Wifi. The hotel is in a great, central location, next to The Mall, a 5 minute walk from Luton train station and only 15 minutes from Kenilworth Road Stadium.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work mainly on the Reception desk, ensuring that every guest feels warmly welcomed and supported throughout their stay. While experience with Opera is a plus, what matters most is your dedication to creating memorable experiences. Your proactive, calm approach will be essential in anticipating guest needs and resolving any queries with ease"even during busy times. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to build connections and deliver truly personalized service, going beyond Check-in and Check-Out to make each guest feel at home.

Our Front of House Team operates on a shift rota, so you’ll need to be comfortable working five days out of seven, with a mix of early and late shifts.
