Job summary

John Lewis plc is seeking a Hotels Porter to join the night team at Odney Club, Cookham. You will help maintain cleanliness, support guest experience, and ensure a safe environment across the hotel while on night shift.

The role includes a night premium, varied hours across seven days, and duties in housekeeping, conference room set ups, and assisting maintenance as needed. Applicants must be 18+, hold a full UK driving license, and stay calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Essential: Full UK Driving Licence.
• Basic computer literacy for hotel operations and guest requests.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in busy situations.

Responsibilities

• Flexibility to work in the housekeeping team, cleaning guest rooms, public and private areas and Airbnb's.
• Be a brand ambassador by delivering outstanding customer experience.
• Resolve customer queries or complaints at first point of contact.
• Clean and maintain all areas across the estate.
• Support laundry runs across the estate.
• Driver's licence is essential.
• Assist Events Coordinator with room setups.
• Set up Conference Centre for following days trade.
• Take on Night Porter role when needed.
• Support Maintenance to maintain cleanliness.
