Job summary

Sofitel Heathrow - Arora Group is seeking a Plant Technician to maintain the hotel’s plant and machinery, ensuring safe and efficient operation with minimal guest disruption. The role involves both planned and reactive maintenance, responding promptly to emergencies, and consistently upholding health and safety standards.

You will manage routine duties, coordinate with subcontractors, and keep meticulous records.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HVAC and building systems and preventative maintenance.
• Commitment to health and safety and statutory requirements.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant and equipment to high standards with attention to detail and guest privacy.
• Carry out routine plant duties including filter cleaning and air conditioning repairs.
• Manage weekly to annual planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
• Support energy reduction initiatives through well-maintained equipment and BEMS scheduling.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors during repairs and fault finding.
• Keep accurate records of work, inspections and parts.
