Job summary

Sofitel Heathrow is a luxury hotel connected to Heathrow Terminal 5, offering extensive restaurant and bar facilities, spa and fitness amenities, and 45 meeting rooms. We seek a Plant Technician to maintain plant and machinery, ensuring safe and efficient hotel operations and compliance with health and safety and statutory requirements.

The role involves independent work, acting as a point of escalation for complex issues, and coordinating with subcontractors when needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC and building systems.
• Experience with preventative maintenance to minimise guest disruption.
• Strong record-keeping and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant and equipment to a high standard with attention to detail and guest privacy.
• Carry out routine plant duties including filter cleaning, AC repairs and temperature control.
• Manage and complete weekly, monthly and annual preventive maintenance across the hotel.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and keep accurate records of work and parts.
