Job summary

Louma Country Hotel is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Technician / Porter to support the culinary team and uphold the highest kitchen standards. You will contribute to cleanliness, stock management, equipment maintenance and safe food handling in line with HACCP principles.

You\'ll work closely with chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations, assist with deliveries, keep areas organised and assist in delivering a market-leading guest food experience. Evening and weekend shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Reliable, proactive, eager to learn and open to feedback from senior chefs.
• Organised, calm under pressure and attentive to detail.
• Good communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork to work as part of a busy kitchen.
• Flexible and able to work evenings, weekends and during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, machinery, extraction systems, BBQs, ovens, dishwashers, drains and grease traps.
• Carry out scheduled deep cleaning tasks.
• Wash, dry, store, and restock crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen equipment.
• Receive deliveries and check stock quality, quantities and accompanying documentation.
• Support stock control procedures and minimise waste.
• Keep preparation and service areas organised, clean and fully stocked.
• Report maintenance issues promptly.
