Job summary

Accor is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen brigade by keeping all kitchen areas clean and compliant with Health and Hygiene regulations. You will handle equipment, assist with waste disposal, and maintain sanitation across outlets.

Role requires teamwork, attention to detail and physical stamina to work in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will contribute to cost control through efficient cleaning and stock handling, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Kitchen porters must manage tasks on a schedule and prioritise work.
• Strong teamwork and clear communication within a fast-paced kitchen.
• Understand food safety and sanitising procedures to prevent contamination.
• Detail-oriented for cleaning, storage and organisation of spaces.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift items when required.

Responsibilities

• Keep all kitchens clean and tidy according to Health & Hygiene rules.
• Count, sort and prepare operating equipment as needed.
• Handle chemicals and equipment safely per manufacturer instructions.
• Clean and store crockery, cutlery and glassware hygienically.
• Follow rosters and methods for deep cleaning floors, walls and equipment.
• Conserve energy and resources to aid cost control.
• Dispose of garbage correctly from kitchen areas each shift.
• Receive deliveries and organise food items per storage guidelines.
• Assist with duties as directed by Supervisor or Hotel Management.
