Job summary

Dakota Edinburgh is hiring a Receptionist to warmly welcome guests and manage check-in/check-out, reservations, and guest requests. The role emphasizes strong administration and guest service within a team-driven hotel environment in South Queensferry.

The successful candidate will have at least two years in hospitality, be a proactive communicator, and flexible with shifts (7am-3pm or 3pm-10pm). The position offers a permanent contract and a £23,205 gross annual salary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years working experience in a hospitality setting, preferably in a hotel.
• Strong administration skills with the ability to prioritise and work at pace.
• Experience in 4* and 5* hotels is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communicator and a genuine people person.
• Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Reception duties: welcome guests, check in/out, handle ad hoc requests, make reservations, light housekeeping, guest billing.
• Provide high level guest service according to service principles and values.
• Know the Front Office computer systems.
• Collaborate with other departments for seamless operations.
