Job summary

San Carlo Group in Bristol is hiring a Host to greet guests, manage the waiting list and seat guests promptly. You will work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth dining experience and maintain a welcoming front-of-house atmosphere.

This role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting. Competitive pay is offered based on salary and Tronc, with opportunities for development within our expanding group.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests as they enter the restaurant and welcoming them.
• Managing the waiting list and seating guests promptly and efficiently.
• Maintaining an organized and tidy front of house area, including the hostess stand, waiting area, and restrooms.
• Answering phone calls and managing reservations.
• Answering guest inquiries about the restaurant's menu, special promotions, or other services offered.
• Collaborating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.
• Keeping track of table turnover and communicating table availability to servers.
• Handling any customer complaints or issues in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maintaining accurate records of guest counts and reservations.
