Job summary

The Bull Inn in Charlbury is seeking a friendly Host to join our pub and restaurant team. You’ll warmly welcome guests, seat them promptly and deliver excellent service in a fast-paced setting.

We offer a rewarding package including up to £13 per hour plus service charge (earn up to £19 per hour), 50% off food and drink for tables of up to four, tips paid weekly, and progression through ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Host or similar role in hospitality.
• Positive and friendly attitude with willingness to work collaboratively with the team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests as they enter the restaurant and assist seating promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting with requests.
• Maintain a positive atmosphere and courteous demeanor in a busy setting.
• Manage waitlists during peak times and inform guests of wait times.
• Collaborate with front-of-house team to ensure a smooth dining experience.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer focused Host to join our team.

The Bull in Charlbury is a local pub & restaurant with an amazing private dining room for regular events, a beautiful garden and 10 bedrooms on site a. We serve British food and drinks in the heart of the Cotswolds, collaborating closely with local farmers and producers (even growing our own vegetables for the restaurant at our Market Garden at Breurn Farm, just 15 minutes away).

What you'll be doing as a Host:

• Warmly welcome guests as they enter the restaurant, assist getting them seated promptly and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, offering menu information and assisting with special requests.
• Foster a positive atmosphere by maintaining a friendly, calm and courteous demeanour whilst working in a fast paced environment.
• Manage waitlists during peak times and manage expectations by keeping guests informed of wait times.
• Collaborative teamwork, communicate effectively with front of house team to ensure a smooth dining experience for all guests.

About you, our new Host:

• Previous experience as a Host or similar role within hospitality.
