The school in Dudley, West Midlands is seeking an enthusiastic Hospitality and Catering Teacher to join its Design & Technology department, delivering engaging practical lessons and developing students' culinary skills for future opportunities in the hospitality industry.

You will teach Hospitality and Catering across the secondary age range, combining practical cooking with theoretical learning, plan and deliver lessons up to KS5, support coursework and examinations, maintain safe kitchen

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Experience teaching Hospitality and Catering or related subjects.
• Strong practical knowledge of food preparation and catering techniques.
• Understanding of food hygiene, nutrition and kitchen safety.
• Effective classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to engage students through practical and theoretical learning.
• Commitment to supporting students of all abilities.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver Hospitality and Catering lessons up to KS5.
• Lead practical cooking sessions and demonstrate techniques.
• Teach food preparation, nutrition, hygiene and health and safety.
• Support coursework, assessments and examinations.
• Monitor progress and adapt lessons for different learning needs.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organised kitchen facilities.
• Encourage creativity, independence and professional practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental development.
