Job summary

Clarion School is seeking a Catering teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, developing practical activities, resources and schemes of work. You will monitor student progress, support their development, and promote safe working practices in catering environments.

The role requires knowledge of the National Curriculum for KS3/KS4, and involvement in GCSE/BTEC-related delivery, with opportunities to contribute to extracurricular catering activities.

Qualifications

• Maintain high standards of learning and teaching in Catering.
• Develop teaching resources, practical activities and schemes of work.
• Monitor and support student progress as a teacher/form tutor.

Responsibilities

• To assess and mark students' classwork, practical work and home learning in accordance with whole-school policy.
• To maintain records of attendance, attainment and progress and monitor classwork and home learning.
• To report to parents and carers through scheduled parents' evenings and online reporting arrangements.
• To contribute to departmental meetings and set targets to enhance student progress.
• To ensure safe working practices including food hygiene and safety requirements.
