Job summary

The Willowbury Retirement Village in West Malling seeks a warm Hospitality Assistant on a bank basis to cover sickness and holidays. You will deliver food, beverages and retail services to RVG standards, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for residents, visitors and customers.

You will handle enquiries, support revenue targets, work with the village team, and contribute ideas for menus and processes. Experience is desirable but not essential, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or customer service is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a village setting.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food, beverage and retail services to RVG standards, maintaining a clean, safe, hygienic environment.
• Provide residents and visitors with a warm and professional welcome and meet hospitality needs.
• Handle enquiries, issues and complaints courteously and escalate when necessary.
• Work with the village team to deliver high-quality service and build relationships with residents.
• Contribute ideas for improving menus, services and processes.
• Support achievement of food and beverage revenue targets using established systems.
• Maintain and update personal skills, accreditations and industry knowledge.

We are seeking a warm, friendly, and motivated Hospitality Assistant to join us here at The Willowbury Retirement Village, West Malling. This is a Bank role covering sickness and holiday. You will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring our residents, visitors, and customers have memorable experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver food, beverage, and retail services to RVG standards, maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.
• Provide residents and visitors with a warm and professional welcome, anticipating and meeting their hospitality needs.
• Handle enquiries, issues, and complaints courteously and efficiently, escalating when necessary.
• Work effectively as part of the village team to deliver high-quality service and build strong relationships with residents.
• Contribute ideas for improving menus, services, and operational processes.
• Support the achievement of food and beverage revenue targets using established systems and processes.
• Maintain and update personal skills, accreditations, and knowledge of industry best practices.
