Job summary

Royal Voluntary Service is seeking a part-time Retail Senior Customer Assistant for Hairmyres Hospital, East Kilbride. You will support day-to-day operations of the hospital retail shop and work with volunteers to deliver excellent customer service and a smooth shopping experience.

You will manage till operations, help with stock replenishment, and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety while representing the charity’s values in daily interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or retail roles, with focus on customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service at all times with good product knowledge.
• Operate the till and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and food hygiene standards across the site.
• Ensure stock and displays are replenished and inventory is rotated.
• Lead and mentor volunteers; support the Retail Service Manager.
• Direct, train and support team to meet KPIs and deliver great service.
