Job summary

Join the Estates and Maintenance team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and play a vital role in ensuring our hospitals and healthcare facilities remain safe, reliable and fully operational for patients, staff and visitors. You will carry out skilled mechanical maintenance, fault finding and repair services on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment across CTM sites.

Qualifications

• Recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship to Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience in an engineering maintenance environment.
• Good working knowledge of associated trades.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of safety and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Understand, receive and give technical instructions to other Maintenance workers.
• Provide advice and instruction to other maintenance workers.
• Provide reports both verbal and written to Team Leaders and Estates Officers.
• Liaise with senior clinical staff regarding maintenance tasks to minimise disruption to patient care.
• Conduct workload unobtrusively, ensuring staff are aware of disruption or noise.
• Liaise with external Suppliers and Contractors regarding technical queries.
• Provide Shift Relief and/or On-Call as required.
