Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a team of craftsmen and support staff, ensuring repairs, minor works and preventative maintenance meet Health Board standards.

The role emphasizes technical guidance, coaching and development of staff, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance across facilities. Welsh language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining repairs, minor works and planned preventative maintenance.
• Experience supervising a multidisciplinary team of craftsmen and semi skilled staff.
• Ability to provide technical advice and training to team members.
• Understanding of Health Board policies, procedures and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring maintenance repairs, minor works, and planned preventative maintenance is undertaken.
• Supervision of a multidisciplinary team of craftsmen and semi skilled staff, including contract staff where needed.
• Provide technical advice, training, and support to team members. You will support the development of staff through mentoring and skills development.
• Ensure compliance with Health Board policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Manage resources effectively to maintain operational efficiency and safety.
