Join the Estates and Maintenance team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and play a vital role in ensuring our hospitals and healthcare facilities remain safe, reliable and fully operational for patients, staff and visitors. Based across Health Board sites, you will provide skilled mechanical maintenance, fault finding and repair services on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment.
You will work on systems including heating and hot water services, air conditioning and ventilation plant, steam systems, compressed air, boiler plant, generators, lifts, pumps and building management systems, carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
The ideal candidate will have completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship to Level 3 or equivalent, with experience in an engineering maintenance environment and a good working knowledge of associated trades. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to delivering high standards of safety and workmanship are essential.
The role includes participation in on-call and shift relief arrangements and offers the opportunity to develop skills across a diverse range of complex healthcare engineering systems.
